The Independent Media Arts Alliance (IMAA) is a member-driven non-profit national organisation working to advance and strengthen the media arts community in Canada. Representing over 100 independent film, video, audio, and new media production, distribution, and exhibition organisations in all parts of the country, the IMAA serves over 16,000 independent media artists and cultural workers.

Beginning in fall 2020, IMAA added a new project to its activities: the delivery of youth employment internships focused on digital skills and training, supported by the Government of Canada through its Digital Skills for Youth Program. To ensure the success of this activity, we are currently recruiting for the newly created position of Program Manager: Youth Training and Internships.
About the position:
Reporting to the National Director with the support of IMAA staff, the Program Manager: Internships and Mentorships will ensure the successful delivery of a youth employment program involving an estimated 30 participants across the country. This individual will ensure the successful delivery of youth internship employment grants as part of the federal Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) program. They will be responsible for liaising with IMAA’s network, managing the program, recruiting and onboarding employers, administering contracts and providing timely and accurate reporting to funders. They will also be responsible for overseeing a new branch of the DS4Y program funding digital-skill based artistic residencies.
