IMAA is proud to present The Pan-Canadian Media Arts Summit that will be held this coming May 31st to June 4th 2016 in Quebec City. The Pan-Canadian Media Arts Summit is a professional event presented by La Bande Vidéo with the support of the Independent Media Arts Alliance (IMAA) and the Quebec City media arts centres: Antitube, Avatar and Spira.

Entitled Impulse/Impulsion, this rallying event includes round tables, large conferences, various networking activities, and opportunities for discussions, as well as numerous presentations of works. Designed to address current issues in relation to media arts, the Summit is a rare opportunity to gather a community otherwise disseminated over a considerably wide territory.

Your summit registration includes all panels and events as well as a full pass to Vues d’ensemble – 3 days of cinema in Quebec City. Vues d’ensemble is presented by Spira, a coop dedicated to independent cinema, and by Antitube, whose mission is the dissemination of cinema events.

TRAVEL SUBSIDY for member delegate:
IMAA will be offering a travel subsidy to a member delegate depending on the budget resources available. If you would like to apply, just answer the questions that will appear on the online registration form – after clicking under the option “IMAA Member Organization, first delegate“.

ACCOMODATIONS:
Accommodations can be booked through the Hotel Pur. Located a few blocks from the summit’s main venue, free Wi-Fi everywhere with a 24/7 gym, free Italian coffee in the lobby, and an indoor heated pool and sauna. When booking at the Hotel Pur make sure to let them know that you want the special “IMAA rate”. The price wil be $125 TTC/night (breakfast not included).
