IMAA @ Reel Asian 2025 and Travel Subsidies for Pan Asian Cultural Workers 

IMAA is delighted to announce a special mini-conference hosted in collaboration with Reel Asian at the 29th edition of their festival. 

Hosted in Tkoronto (Toronto, ON) at the 401 Commons from November 11-13, 2025, the festival welcomes delegates from media arts organizations across the country to participate in IMAA-led programming (including a mixer, Caucus meetings, Advocacy and Fee Schedule workshops) as well as engage in Reel Ideas, a professional development stream of activities. The festival also offers some second-week in-cinema screenings that are available to Minicon delegates.

Reel Asian’s 29th festival opens on November 5, 2025, and delegates to the Minicon will receive complimentary Industry-badge accreditation – so local Minicon delegates are encouraged to sign up and use their badge benefits for the festival’s in-cinema presentations prior to the Minicon days.

The conference will be free for all delegates from IMAA member organizations. Registration will open in the coming weeks.
