interConnect

interConnect was an initiative organized by the Independent Media Arts Alliance (IMAA) from 2022 to 2024.

interConnect was a collective intelligence initiative that brought together artists, arts professionals, and organizations to share and build knowledge about digital projects and practices. The intention was to foster the growth of a digital ecosystem created for, and by, the arts community, strengthening the sector overall.

During the summer and fall of 2023, six co-learning groups made up of artists and arts professionals and guided by a team of facilitators explored these discussion areas. Inspired by a co-learning approach, they met online for five workshops to talk about their experiences and share resources. Working within a general workshop plan created by the interConnect team and facilitators, participants collectively shaped how discussions unfolded and what the outcomes would be.
